TRAYE has been funded by the Devon Community Fund to do the Food for Thought Project.
We have been working with young people to raise awareness about food instability and how food gets from farm to fork. Young people have been cooking budget recipes from scratch, completing taste tests (supermarket vs organic foods) and we have taken them to the Apricot Centre which is a biodynamic farm to pick produce, cook food over a fire and learn about the land.
The project has been hugely successful and enjoyed by young people. We have even had some young people who want to become more involved in this subject and are looking to meet with the Apricot Centre and its CROP Project (Centre for Regenerative and Organic Produce) and their up and coming plans for a Food Hub.
